Family Coastal Exploring Sessions

Team
Hello! I’m Ewa,

Coastal Activity Leader managing “Coastal Marvels” in Troon, Ayrshire. I’m passionate about the ocean, beaches, and nature in coastal environments. I’m an avid traveller, snorkeller, and recreational scuba diver. I’m also a certified Nordic Walking Instructor and a healthy, balanced lifestyle enthusiast.

Alongside this, I support our family home-textiles business, and I’m actively involved in the local community as a Scouts Leader (Beavers & Cubs), a Wildlife Watch Leader for the Scottish Wildlife Trust, and a Bikeability Scotland trainer in a local primary school.

I’m also an advocate and promoter of outdoor play and nature-based learning for children from an early age. I believe that children can learn a great deal by exploring and experiencing the natural world around them, as well as by playing and having fun.

As a mother of two wonderful young boys, I understand the importance of letting children learn about the world by exploring and experiencing it for themselves. I’m inspired by many nature-based learning approaches, such as Montessori, and I enjoy incorporating some of their elements into daily life and education.

By profession, I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, having studied Management, Economy, and Law at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. I have completed Coastal Activity Leader training in Scotland (similar to beach school training), as well as courses in Tourism Management, Tour Leading, and Children’s Holiday Camp Supervision.

I have also completed a Discovering Marine Ecology course, an Outdoor First Aid course, and Safeguarding training in the UK.

I believe that lifelong learning is essential, and I frequently enrol in new courses to continue developing my knowledge and skills. I have worked internationally in tourism, translations, finance, and customer management, and I run my own consultancy business in the Netherlands.

Having lived and worked in several European countries, I speak multiple languages: English, Polish, Dutch, and German, and I am currently learning Portuguese and Japanese.

Over more than 20 years of working in varied roles, I discovered new interests and passions. Motherhood emphasised the importance of a healthy, nature-connected upbringing, as well as the need to continue pursuing my dreams and focus on the things that matter most in life.

This is how the idea of Coastal Marvels beach activities was born.

This community-focused initiative aims to inspire the younger generation to discover, enjoy, and protect the precious nature on their doorstep, while also inviting whole families to regularly join and explore together.
I hope you will join us on one or many of our coastal sessions!

Jonathan, who is almost 11 years old, is my inspiration and the reason
behind it all. He is a young nature explorer and my big helper in discovering.

David, who is already 8, is a young discoverer of the surrounding nature.
He brings sunshine into our daily lives and is a great inspiration,
just like his older brother.

For larger group activities, I collaborate with other qualified professionals who join my team when needed.
